WRITING TASK 1
The charts below show the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920 and 2019.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line chart illustrates the usage of three electrical appliances by households between 1920 to 2019. Three appliances in this study were washing machine, refrigerator, and vacuum cleaner.
Generally the use of these electronic appliances grew over the years. Only washing machine showed a minor decline during the year of 1920. In 1920 less than half of households owned electronic appliances. In contract all household owned refrigerator and vacuum cleaner in 2019 and only 28% did not use washing machine.
Contrary to
electronic ownership growth, the time spent of using electronic ownership
declined over the time. In 1920, citizens spent go hours per week. It declined
sharply until 960 only 20 hours per week and slowly decrease to just around to
hours per week in 2019.
